About Us

Ag Link, Inc. (Est. 1994) became a value-added, recycled tire product manufacturer through its affiliation with northern California’s major tire recycler, Golden By-Products, Inc. In 2001, Ag Link owners Rob and Jana Nairn, employees of Golden, saw an opportunity to branch off of Golden’s tire recycling business and begin manufacturing recycled tire products. In 2004, Ag Link started production in two phases of its manufacturing business: molding and coloration.
Ag Link’s molding division (previously RTI of Tualatin, OR) began manufacturing Ag Mats in 2006. Ag Mats are the only of its kind manufactured in California and made from California recycled tires!
Ag Link has been the leading supplier of rubber mulch on the West Coast, branded as Rubber Bark™ this product is the best choice for playground and landscape fill.
Rob and Jana Nairn, owners of Ag Link, each have Bachelor of Science Degrees in AgriBusiness Marketing from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. Both have worked in business, management and sales for their entire careers. Their involvement in the scrap tire recycling industry through their employment with Golden By-Products offers them a unique and valuable perspective on the future of markets and trends for the industry.

Ag Link has been the Nairn's corporate vehicle for business transactions including ag real estate sales, the brokerage of complimentary nuts and dried fruit during the time that Jana was marketing exclusively for almond processor, California Independent Almond Growers, as well as investment and resale of equipment.
Ag Link had established itself first in value added tire derived products through its development of the Rubber Bark™ brand of rubber mulch which leads in sales on the west coast. See www.rubberbark.com for more information.
In 2002, Ag Link was awarded $250,000 to purchase the equipment necessary to begin molding crumb rubber into mats.
Ag Link aligned itself with Recycled Technologies (RTI) a mat molding business from Tualitin, OR. Golden had been acquainted with RTI since its original due diligence in the scrap tire recycling industry in 1996. RTI was a 10 year old company that molded 3 lines of products in Oregon. Their product lines include horse stall mats, patio/garden mats, and unique traffic systems.
In 2007, Ag Link took over RTI’s horse stall mat molding portfolio moving production and distribution to California. Ag Link’s state of the art press is the only one of its kind on the west coast producing top of the line stall mats for the west coast markets.
